Ms Jane McPhail is a Consultant Burns and Plastic Surgery Prosthetist and has an area of expertise in non-surgical scar management. She has worked for many years, both privately and within the NHS. Jane holds full membership of The Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetists and Technologists (IMPT) and affiliate membership of British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS).
Jane has extensive experience working in this specialised area and understands that scars can be unsightly or embarrassing. Dependant on where exactly on the body they are, scars can often lead to an affected quality of life and impact self-confidence. Certain scars are not suitable for surgical intervention and surgical scar management, therefore non-surgical treatments may be recommended. Scar Management opinions can be provided in conjunction with Skin Camouflage or as a stand-alone service.
