Dr Nigel Lord commenced Medico-legal report writing in 2000, as Specialist Practitioner, supplying independent Medico-legal opinion. Dr Lord has been a member of the Expert Witness Institute since 2005 and undertook Bond Solon training in 2011. In 2022, Dr Lord was appointed to the Council of the Medical Defence Union and has extensive experience working with Solicitors and Insurers, providing Personal Injury opinion and in General Practice Clinical Negligence cases.
Dr Nigel Lord qualified at Sheffield University 1991 (MBChB), then trained to become a GP until 1995, when he qualified as a General Practitioner, gaining Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). Dr Lord worked as a locum GP, at the University of Sheffield Medical Centre, then became a GP Principal in 1996. His current NHS practice is base in Altrincham, where he is a Partner and former educational trainer plus GP supervisor. Dr Lord has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and joint injections. In 2023, Dr Lord was promoted from a Member of the Royal College of GPs (MRCGP) to a Fellow (FRCGP).
