Mr Richard Wain

Mr Richard Wain is an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Plastic Surgery Expert Witness providing independent medico-legal reports for Personal Injury cases across the North West, including Bolton, Lancaster, Warrington, and Wigan.

Since beginning his plastic surgery medico-legal work in 2022, Mr Wain has provided detailed, CPR-compliant plastic surgery reports. He has completed the Bond Solon Excellence in Report Writing and Courtroom Skills courses, ensuring all reports meet the highest professional standards required in UK courts.

Mr Wain qualified in 2006 from the University of Manchester and undertook extensive plastic and reconstructive surgery training across the North West of England. His sub-specialist fellowships include:

• Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Skin Cancer Reconstruction at St Helens & Knowsley NHS Trust
• Sarcoma Reconstruction and Lower Limb Microsurgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals

He currently holds a substantive NHS position as a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, a role he has held since 2022.
