Mr Sohail Akhtar is a General Medical Council Certified Plastic Surgeon. He qualified as a Doctor in 1996, attended Liverpool University, and now has over 20 years’ of experience as a Plastic Surgeon. After graduation from medical school, he embarked on surgical training and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. Following this he started specialisation in Plastic Surgery and on completion was awarded the title of a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery.
Mr Akhtar commenced his NHS Consultant career as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Durham, where he had the opportunity to develop his interest in cosmetic surgery. Mr Akhtar now holds a post as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, at Wrightington Hospital, where he performs a wide range of plastic surgery procedures such as soft tissue reconstruction, scar treatments and general hand surgery procedures.
